Each chair is torn down to it’s frame, given a complete tune-up. Any parts that need to be fixed or replaced are fixed, and then new casters, new gas cylinder, new (made in USA) arm pads, new lumbar pad (Size B Chairs Only), new front seat foam pad (Size B Chairs Only) are installed.
Please note these are used chairs, and may come with some minor dings and scratches. We do everything we can to make them like-new, but some small scratches and scuffs (nothing significant) are to be expected.
Size A is the small size, made for children and smaller people. Size B is the regular size, made to fit most adults. Size C is the large or plus sized version of the Aeron chair.

Fixed Arms Option – What You Need to Know:
We are now offering fixed arm Aeron chairs at a discounted price.
Fixed arm Aerons do not have a height adjustment lever or wheel to change the arm height quickly and easily, however the arm height can be set to any height you desire. If you do not change the height of your chair arms often, this can be a great option.
Chairs will ship at the standard mid-height, but if you find this setting too low, prior to installing the back, you can loosen the arms (the proper bit will be included with every fixed arm chair), slide to re-position, and tighten the arms to whatever height works best for you.

What Size Aeron Do You Need?
The Herman Miller Aeron chair comes in 3 different sizes. Size A, size B, and size C. Size A is the smallest of the bunch, size B is the standard size chair, and the size C is the plus size model. Which size is right for you?

While this is nothing definitive, it should be a good place to start. Refurbished Herman Miller Aeron Caster Options:
Every chair gets brand new casters included – we offer several different sizes and options to choose from.
65mm Carpet casters are best for low-pile or dense carpeted floors. For medium, or longer residential carpets, we recommend 75mm Oversized Carpet Casters to help prevent the bottom of the gas cylinder from dragging on the floor.
Hard floor casters have a soft coating on them, helping them roll smoother and quieter on hard surfaces. This coating also helps protect the flooring from damage. Hard floor casters can also be used on carpeted floors.
We recommend hard floor casters for the following floors:

- Concrete / Epoxy
- Laminate
- Tile
- Chair Floor Mats
Oversized (75mm) casters are larger and offer a smoother rolling experience, and also raise the chair up about ~1/2″.
Roller Blade casters offer the smoothest and quietest rolling experience of all, and work great on both carpet or hard floors. Their soft surface also helps protect floors the same as the standard twin-wheel hard floor casters.

Refurbished Herman Miller Aeron 12 Year Warranty:
All of our refurbished Herman Miller Aeron chairs are covered by our 12 year warranty under normal usage. All working components are warranted for 12 years against manufacturing defects in material and workmanship. Gas cylinders are covered for 6 years. In the event of a failure, Crandall Office Furniture will send replacement parts with installation instructions – installation labor costs are not covered. In the event of a failure beyond repair, a replacement chair will be sent. This warranty is good up to the stated manufacturer’s weight limits / capacity, which is 300lbs for the Herman Miller Aeron Size A Chair, and 350lbs for the Herman Miller Aeron Size B & C Chairs.
Warranty is null and void if the product is subject to negligence, abuse, misuse, or modification. Warranty only applies to the product; Crandall Office Furniture is not responsible in any way for loss, inconvenience, or any other special damages caused by any defect.
Refurbished Herman Miller Aeron Return Policy:
We are confident you will love your chair, but if for any reason you don’t, contact us for a no-hassle free return within 30 days of receiving your chair. We’ll send you a return shipping label and refund your entire purchase price once the chair has been received and inspected.
Returned chairs must be in the same condition as received and returned in the original box. (please keep the box until you’re 100% sure you’re keeping the chair).
Custom fabric chairs, or chairs with significant visible wear or damage, will incur a 15% restocking fee.
Shipping & Assembly:
All of our Crandall Office Furniture Refurbished Herman Miller Aeron chairs ship partially dissembled to keep shipping costs as low as possible. Assembly of your Aeron chair is quick and easy, and only requires installing 4 bolts – Proper bit will be supplied.

All products ship via UPS Ground from our Greenville, Michigan facility, transit times will vary depending on ship-to location.

I could tell the Herman Miller aeron was really good quality, but I had mixed feelings about it and ultimately I had to return it. I got the suggested size for my height (5’5”), Size B, but it felt too small. The arm rests for me had too small a range of adjustability. They were just a bit too low, so I found myself subconsciously starting to slouch a little in different positions so I could rest my arms on them more comfortably. However, I was very happy with the material of the arm rests. As for the rest of the chair, there were other little things that didn’t quite work for me, such as the Atlas headrest. I tried the aeron with and without the Atlas head rest. The Atlas headrest was an amazing match to the chair, but it pushed my head too far forward even at the lowest adjustment, and the adjustment also felt uncomfortable when I reclined. I ended up taking it off so I could give the chair a good try without it. I am a person who tends to subconsciously crane my head and chin forward to get a closer look at my monitor no matter how close it is, and because of that I end up with a lot of neck pain. It helps remind me to stay in a more aligned position if I have a head rest, but if the headrest is too forward it just keeps me in the forward head posture. Without the headrest, the aeron is a classic, quality task chair, meant to be used when you’re in an active upright posture. Trying it made me realize I wanted a chair that would help me relax my neck and shoulders in a slight 100 degree recline since I am so bad about slipping into uncomfortable positions when I’m focused. Anyway, I would definitely order from Crandall again if they had other kinds of chairs. Everything was great quality and I would not have been able to tell it wasn’t brand new. The return was easy and customer service was excellent.

I have occasional back problems, especially when sitting for long periods. I’ve always had cheap chairs that don’t help support good posture. This chair is on another level. I can sit all day and not have any problems. I especially like the tilt forward feature that helps me lean towards my desk. It’s a bit tricky to figure out at first but once you do it’s very handy. It’s also quite comfortable to lounge in as well. The fact that this chair is refurbished is also astonishing. I couldn’t tell it’s been previously used. Save yourself the hundreds of dollars you’d spend on a new chair and buy refurbished. The warranty that comes with the chair also helps give peace of mind. The one downside to this chair is that it’s mesh. The material is really sturdy but during the winter it gets pretty cold. Although, that could be a good thing in the summer as it allows your body to breathe. You can always cover it up with a blanket I suppose.
