- Chair came before estimated delivery date. +2- Chair was in exact working quality as described and pictured. +2- Small sticky splotch on metal base, easily cleaned by alcohol wipe. -1- Installation was 15 minutes, and included was a single-sided, colored page with very simple instructions with supplementary pictures. +1- All parts that require hardware (like screws) came pre-installed. +1

Hi David,The replacement mechanism clamshell cover set was perfect with much improved securement tabs but the chair is now screwed up. We couldn't get the base off using the rubber mallet shown in your video so we got two mallets and hit opposite legs simultaneously. Instead of separating the base from the gas cylinder, the cylinder separated at its top. I think it broke because the chair seems much worse off now.I'd like to consider sending this chair to you as trade-in for 2 large refurbished replacement Aeron chairs.I'd also like to know why you support Steelcase chairs. Are they as good?Doug

I ordered a Steelcase Gesture from Crandall. The chair came very well packaged but was missing a trim piece. I contacted Crandall and they sent it out quickly. I ended up sending the chair back as it just was not for me. However that is not Crandall's fault. The return process was very easy however.

Sitting on top of the world! Amazing people. Like other stories here, my chair was an old office Steelcase that I got from a family member which was purchased in the 90s. I had to replace a few castors two years ago and Crandall helped me locate the chair info and confirm I was ordering the right part. Worked perfectly.Two years later the gas cylinder went bad on my chair and I was "low riding" in all my meetings. I finally decided to try a more advanced repair and again, someone at the office was available to help me get the right part. The included instructions had a QR code to the YouTube video and perfectly walked me through a simple process that saved me oodles of money by avoiding the purchase of a new chair, and keeping this workhorse office friend around for many more years to come. I recently bought a used Steelcase chair that the lift cylinder didn’t work on, so I knew where I would be going for parts! I have used Crandall office furniture in the past for a set of arm pads for another Steelcase chair at my work, both of my experiences with this company have been absolutely top notch! I got a remanufactured Steelcase Leap v2 from Crandall. The savings were incredible and the quality of the chair is good-as-new. (I can't actually imagine a brand new chair being noticeably different.)My one piece of advice to potential customers is that you should pay with a credit card that has the same billing address as your shipping address. If the mailing and shipping addresses are different, then they'll put your order on hold until they reach you on the phone to confirm your order.

I placed an order over the phone for replacement back and seat for my Steelcase Leap chair V1. The woman who I spoke with was just an order taker and did not advise me that my choice for chair back was not good for that model. I got the items. The seat back had no support and was too stretchy. I felt like I was sitting against cables. When I called to report my dissatisfaction, I was just told no returns, no refunds. A big thumbs down for Crandall 😡

I wanted to let you know my wife loves the chair, it is exactly what she wanted and looks great in her studio! We are VERY pleased with it. The chair was a surprise "new studio" gift for my wife who is a newborn and family photographer and will be spending MANY hours in that chair editing. The added personal note on the Crandall notepad showed you actually read the note I had added for my wife, you took a minute to hand write your own based on what I wrote - THAT'S going above and beyond!! Thank you!

A few years back I purchased a refurbished Steelcase Leap chair but from another company and I had only a few options of chair to choose from which was not a big deal since I wanted black. When I received it, it looked very nice, but the chair had a few signs of previous use - which was not a surprise since it was refurbished. However, this chair looks brand new and I/we (we because I sneakily asked color, fabric, and frame color options) got to choose from SO MANY options AND upgraded options (like the back and seat pad), that's awesome! It was like picking out a brand new chair and for 1/2 the price! The remanufacturing and shipping was very fast as well, I ordered Aug. 24 and it was delivered Sep. 2! I will certainly tell everyone I know who is looking for a new office chair to shop at crandalloffice.com. I wish we lived closer so I could stop by your office and shake your hand and personally thank you! I feel like we purchased a whole office full of furniture - but we only got one chair. Fantastic customer service, I am shocked! I sent an email asking if they were able to sell me a replacement part for a Herman Miller I’d bought on Craigslist. Kim was thorough in helping me diagnose what I needed and offered to send me something to try first prior to making a large purchase for a part.

I recently purchased a refurbished Steelcase 442 Gesture Chair. I ordered on a Thursday evening and the chair was delivered exactly one week later on a Thursday afternoon. It was meticulously packed, packed with a lot of care. The chair looks brand new. No evidence of wear and tear. Love the fabric color I picked and most importantly the chair is very, very comfortable. I upgraded to the roller incline wheels and they are great on my hardwood floor. Absolutely fabulous. Spoke with Steve Crandall who took the time to explain the differences between different quality ergonomic office chairs. Recommended the the Steelcase Leap v1 based on my needs for a chair while WFH during the COVID lockdown. Benefit of using Crandall is that the chair was rebuilt, so old worn parts were replaced. Also I was able to pick a custom fabric which looked better in my 2nd bedroom and a softer seat cushion. Delivery was quick and setup was easy because of included documentation and web support showing how the pieces fit together. Also they have a video on how to uninstall the seat, once it is installed (since that is tricky), in case you need to.

Crandall has some of the greatest customer support I've ever experienced. My leap v1 remanufactured chair arrived with a large tear in the box and some components were missing so I messaged them and within 2 days I already had all the missing components mailed to my doorstep. During my use of the chair I noticed there was a lot of squeakiness. I talked back and forth with Crandall about fixes but they offered to replace the chair entirely or give a partial refund. Great company, highly recommend.
