[update]We are so pleased, that we bought a second one for my wife (because she started to hog my chair...)[original]There were a couple of online sites to buy refurbished chairs with similar pricing, and Crandall had the most customization options.Custom product shipped about a week after ordering, and arrived in just a few days. It literally feels and looks brand new, even though it's refurbished. Excellent quality and ease of ordering.I'm glad I splurged on a chair without paying the full $$$ of the spurge!

I got my chair about a week ago. Aside from some minor scuffs at the base the chair is practically new. Everything works as it should. The cushions have been redone and are super comfortable. The upgraded wheels I selected make moving the chair around easy and smooth. All in all I am happy with my purchase. Crandall is not the only seller of remanufactured chairs. There are many others online. They are also not the cheapest but what they are is transparent. You know what you are getting with them. You can go on their website and get to know the owners and staff. You can see their facility and learn about their process. It's all there. There's no mystery about where your chair is coming from. There no nebulous "open box" designation. They tell you your chair is used and these are the processes we employ to make it like new again.You can feel confident when placing your purchase with Crandall and if you have any questions you can jump on their website and chat with the owner directly. Theirs no funny business here. Just honest workmanship and great customer service.

Crandall shows what 5-star customer service should be. So my chair when received admittedly didn't work correctly - it wouldn't go up and down. Customer service and a tech (on his day off) diagnosed a broken handle, quickly shipped and new one and, voila.... a like new chair! Couldn't ask for more.

I got a Leap V2 chair and everything turned out great. I am really enjoying the chair. I was not sure about the extra padding but I am fine with it. It was a matter of getting the adjustment set right and getting use to it. The customer service I experienced was great.

I just purchased a Steelcase Leap V1 and I couldn't be happier! My chair arrived on time and in like-new condition. In fact, you can't even tell it's not a new chair! Crandal has been helpful, informative, timely, and business-like throughout the purchasing process. Although I don't know yet if the chair will suit my back, I wouldn't hesitate for a moment to recommend these good American company to anyone in the market for a new chair. My chair shipped to me with an incorrect lever installed at the base. Not a big deal though. They shipped me a replacement the next day. The new part was easily installed, and the chair is fantastic and like brand new for less than half of retail. Amazing chair backed by amazing customer service!

Great chair at a discount price! I ordered a refurbished Steelcase Amia chair at about half the price of buying it new. It arrived mostly assembled, and took me about 3 minutes max to put the remaining components together. The chair works perfectly, no squeaks, and the upholstery is nice and fresh. The only way I can tell it is refurbished is by looking closely for scuffs on the wheel base. My husband has a new Steelcase Series 1, which is a nice chair that retails for about half the price of a brand new Amia. However, I think my refurbished Steelcase Amia is more cushioned and solid in it's construction than the new Series 1.

I waited some time - 4-5 months before doing a review. The purpose of waiting was to determine if there was going to be any issues with the chair over a decent amount of use. From start to finish - great product and excellent support/instructions. It was very easy to assemble. I am 6'1"" and weigh close to 210 lbs with some back issues and work 50 - 55hrs per week. The Steelcase Leap chair has been excellent. Spend the few dollars extra for the rollerblade casters - awesome. To the people that refurbish and pack the chairs - great job!

Quality chair (Steelcase Leaf V2) at about half of price when new. What's not to like. Especially when you realize that the chair has been rebuilt with many new parts. Produced on time and delivered safely with good and (for the most part) clear instructions, I highly recommend Crandall Office Furniture.

Ordered a Steelcase Leap v1 that was on sale and I was a bit skeptical of what would show up, but I was blown away when it arrived. The only way I could tell it wasn't a new chair was a small scratch and half removed sticker on the bottom of the chair. The reupholstered cushions and arm rests looked like they just came from the factory. All the adjustment knobs look and work perfectly. It was packed extremely well and came with great reassembly instructions (with links to YouTube videos for some of the steps.) All that for a fraction of the price of a new chair. Not to mention the whole saving the environment thing by recycling old chairs. I would not hesitate to recommend Crandall to anyone!

My partner found Crandall Office Furniture telling me I should invest in my office furniture and that this was the place to do it. I am so happy I did. I sit in my new Leap V2 chair for a minimum of 8 hours a day and am in love. Weird as it is to love your furniture, I LOVE this chair. I got to customize it (apple green fabric, extra cushioned seat and a new gas cylinder) for very little money over the published book price and still walked away with an incredible deal. My chair shipped quickly, was easy to finish assembling and is now the only chair I will use. Once you've sat in the best, nothing else will do.. My home office, thanks to this chair, now far outweighs my traditional office set-up and I plan on taking this chair with me to the office when things return to normal. If I could do this over, I would in a heartbeat. Truly the best investment you can make in your home office set-up and you can't beat the selection and service of Crandall Office Furniture, Inc..

P.S. EDIT: Thanks for responding regarding fabrics quality. It's all good. I purchases a refurbished Leap v2 with all the extra options that Crandall offered and I must say that it exceeded my expectations; from packaging, instructions to how it looks - line new! Simply amazing! I'm glad they are in a business. I initially ordered from a different company but they didn't have cylinders in stock. That other company showed me a DIY link on YouTube on how to replace a cylinder. That video belonged to Crandall, so I went with them instead and I'm glad I did! Will be definitely returning for another one. Forget about Craigslist junk, go straight to them.

I wasn't ready to spend $1K on a Steelcase Leap, and found Crandall Office Furniture in a reddit thread while I was researching refurbished options. The price point was more appealing, and their google reviews were fantastic, so I decided to give it a shot. I could always try their 30 day return policy if the chair was junk, right? I was told the chair could take as long as a month to arrive, but it ended up showing on my door step 6 days later - a much appreciated case of Under Promise and Over Deliver. The Leap went together easily and offered a huge and immediate improvement in comfort over my old chair. There was an issue with the fabric bunching at the bottom of the back cushion, which is a major issue even at their lower price point, but I was able to Chat with someone on their website who immediately sent a replacement cushion. All is now well with the chair. I'd definitely recommend this company to anyone looking for a new desk chair.

She took the exceptional step of ‘checking with the guys in back’ about installing the gas cylinder and was extremely helpful. Was a little leery of purchasing a "re-manufactured" but my wife went ahead and purchased one for her office. In my company's work office we have Hermann Miller chairs which I love but my wife ordered the Steel Case Leap 2 which I assembled for her and of course I tried it out. Absolutely love the chair so I went ahead and ordered one for my home office as well. Using it for two weeks now and am very happy with my purchase. So for less than the price of a brand new chair with the same features, we have 2. Honestly you cannot tell the difference between new and re-manufactured as all the critical parts are brand new. Highly recommend purchasing via Crandall!

Great experience, would recommend.Ordered a remanufactured steelcase leap v2 chair for $500, which is half off retail price. You can find a slightly lower price of $400 at some other furniture refurbishers, but I decided to go with Crandall instead for a few reasons:- Crandall lets you select frame color and fabric color, whereas the others often only let you have all black- Crandall seems to have better reviews, and thus I assumed their customer service was better (more on that later)- Crandall offers a 12 year warranty, which is as long as Steelcase's official one- Crandall has a bunch of youtube videos online about how to self-service the parts of your Steelcase Leap, so it seems like they know what they're doing and they care about the chairs they sell.I ordered it, and it shipped out within 2-3 days, and the chair arrived in about a week. It was packaged in 3-4 main parts that needed to be assembled together (all snap-in, no tools necessary).Unfortunately the plastic back support had snapped during shipping or Q/C, so I emailed Crandall. They got back to me immediately and I had a replacement chair arrive by mail within 5 days. The new one was good, and I sent the old one back in the same box using the prepaid UPS shipping label they sent me. From this experience I'm confident they care about customer service and I'll be taken care of if I have any issues within the next 12 years.The chair is pretty good for a remanufactured chair. A few very minor scuffs on the frame, the fabric is brand new, the cushions are comfortable, all parts are functioning perfectly. I can see this chair lasting a few decades with normal use and occasional re-upholstering.Highly recommended. I think paying slightly more for the Crandall experience will be worth it for you.

If you want to save money that does not sacrifice the quality of Steelcase, do not hesitate to purchase from Crandall Office Furniture. The chair exceeded my expectations in comfort and looks. The chair arrived with a broken piece which I'm sure was damaged in shipping. I emailed David Crandall and he contacted me right away. I sent a photo of the broken piece and their staffed sent the piece to me right away. Great company and even better customer service.

After purchasing a Steelcase Leap V. 2 chair from another company I came across several reviews of the Crandall Office Furniture. I was impressed with the quality and warranty of the chairs being reviewed and decided to purchase a Steelcase Leap V. 2. Was I happy I did. I ordered the additional .5 inch cushion with the cinnamon vinyl rather that the fabric. The chair arrived within a week or so via UPS. It was fully wrapped and carefully packed in the box. I didn't realize I would have to assemble the chair which was a little disappointing. However, upon looking over the instructions and watching the video assembly it was a piece of cake. Done within a few minutes. Upon assembly and sitting on this chair I instantly fell in love with it! It looks absolutely beautiful with the platinum/black finish. The vinyl looks very high end and is beautifual in my office. However, I would have preferred leather as an option. But, I have to say this vinyl has a great life span and warranty and will last a life time. I love the option colors and the build quality of this chair. My wife also has a Steelcase Leap V. 2 in black fabric which she loves. Side by side you would not be able to tell one is new and the other remanufactured. I liked the Crandall chair and the upholstery so much I wanted to send my wife's chair to be reupholstered in vinyl with the additional cushion padding. The additional cost to reupholster of $119.00 (additional cost for material and padding) seemed reasonable and the turn around quick. I was willing to upgrade as I got a great price (open box item) on the chair anyway. Her chair. Up to her. She said, "no." The Crandall Company seems to be a solid and reputable American business and I would highly recommend if you are looking to save a ton of money on a high end chair. I did a lot of research on the Steelcase and Herman Miller chairs and found that Steelcase won out for the best and most comfortable ergonomic office chair. Herman Miller is a great chair but you have to be willing to spend another $300 - $500 too. They do look stylish though. My only complaint with the Crandall Office chair is they do not offer the leather material (they may be vegans though so I cannot pass judgement) on the seating. Hope this helps. Again... great chair!

Couldn't be happier with my purchase of a refurbished Steelcase Leap v2! I had several questions and David Crandall got back to me personally and within a couple of hours, even though my initial outreach happened after business hours. He gave me great advice in terms of the various options that would be important for me, and was also happy to explain those that I wouldn't need. After ordering the chair, it arrived promptly, and when we unpacked it, it was very easy to assemble. And, even though I know it's a refurbished product, it honestly looks brand new. I can't find a blemish on it anywhere! It's also really comfortable, and very easy to adjust. I can't highly recommend Crandall Office Furniture in every regard...quality, customer service, and professionalism.

Just a quick note regarding my order. I used the chat feature on your website and chatted with a real person! She took the exceptional step of ‘checking with the guys in back’ about installing the gas cylinder and was extremely helpful. Likewise, the youtube video showing how to replace the cylinder was exceptional.

This was a simple order of a single item. Your quick, friendly and over the top service was memorable! While my needs for office furniture are small, you have a lifetime customer!

Steelcase Leap V2 Chair:

With my chronic muscle spasms, I needed a serious high-end chair at a price that I could legit make work, and during weeks of searching for “best chairs for short women with bad backs,” I kept bringing up the same names: Steelcase and Herman Miller. It was an investment piece and we’re only on day 2, so I can’t speak to longevity or warranty, but if you need a new chair because you’re “old” and sore like me, this is a great option.

Everything is adjustable on this puppy. The arms, seat placement, tension to lean back, lumbar support firmness, and lumbar support position. And I’m living for this fabric!

Absolutely fabulous. Spoke with Steve Crandall who took the time to explain the differences between different quality ergonomic office chairs. Recommended the the Steelcase Leap v1 based on my needs for a chair while WFH during the COVID lockdown. Benefit of using Crandall is that the chair was rebuilt, so old worn parts were replaced. Also I was able to pick a custom fabric which looked better in my 2nd bedroom and a softer seat cushion. Delivery was quick and setup was easy because of included documentation and web support showing how the pieces fit together. Also they have a video on how to uninstall the seat, once it is installed (since that is tricky), in case you need to.

Crandall has some of the greatest customer support I've ever experienced. My leap v1 remanufactured chair arrived with a large tear in the box and some components were missing so I messaged them and within 2 days I already had all the missing components mailed to my doorstep. During my use of the chair I noticed there was a lot of squeakiness. I talked back and forth with Crandall about fixes but they offered to replace the chair entirely or give a partial refund. Great company, highly recommend.

Ordered a remanufactured Leap V2 a week ago, and it arrived today. Though I’ve been working from home for years, I was reluctant to spend nearly $1000 on a chair. I needed a better office chair for the long hours in front of my home office desk. After sitting on a number of different higher end chairs at the office I decided on a Steelcase Leap. The problem was that I couldn’t bring myself to drop 1k on a new chair. I’ve been eyeing used Herman Miller Aeron Chairs for quite a while. I was looking for local sources in San Jose, but, found Crandall during my online search; the chair was refurbished as well as very competitive prices. The chair arrived and it looks like new! That’s a bonus. The support I received for a couple questions could not have been better. My family was in the furniture business, so I am picky about whom I buy from and the service.
