Crandall Office Furniture’s Steelcase 462 Leap aftermarket stool gas cylinders have been constructed to meet original OEM chair specifications and are built to last.
A office chair gas cylinder is the height adjustment mechanism on the chair. The typical life span of a office chair gas cylinder is 4-7 years, depending on use and abuse. If failed, your chair will be left with limited or no height adjustment, however you can quickly and easily replace your broken Steelcase 462 Leap stool gas cylinder today.
Our Top Activated Steelcase 462 Leap gas cylinders are made to fit all Steelcase 462 Leap chairs manufactured between 02-16-2000 and 01-19-2009.

This cylinder can successfully be used on a standard Steelcase 462 Leap chair, to convert it to stool height, standing desk, sit-to-stand desk, or bar height. Also available is our full stool conversion kit (including foot ring) for the Steelcase 462 Leap chair.
If looking for a standard stool height, please consider the 8″ stool cylinder, the 10″ cylinder provides a significant increase in sitting height of the chair, and should only be considered if the 8″ stool cylinder does not reach high enough.
Product Specifications:
