Crandall Office Furniture’s Haworth Zody aftermarket gas cylinders have been constructed to meet original OEM chair specifications and are built to last. All of our heavy duty gas cylinders are rated Class 4 (Class 4 is the highest class of chair cylinder available).
A office chair gas cylinder is the height adjustment mechanism on the chair. The typical life span of a office chair gas cylinder is 4-7 years, depending on use and abuse. If failed, your chair will be left with limited or no height adjustment, however you can quickly and easily replace your broken Haworth Zody gas cylinder today.
Our Haworth Zody gas cylinders are made to fit all Haworth Zody chairs manufactured before 9/1/2011.

This cylinder was longer than the spent one I removed from my 2011 Zody Haworth office chair, BUT it fits PERFECTLY and does its pneumatic lifting job equally well. I can’t attest to the part’s longevity yet, but if it can reach or surpass a Zody cylinder’s five-to-seven-year lifespan (one chair guru’s estimate), I’ll be content. Product, price and delivery were great. But I couldn’t get the cylinder to go down after installing it. So I emailed Kim, who placed my order asking if there’s a video or diagram showing how the cable should be routed, but got no response, so now I’m using a chair that won’t go up and down. 🙁
